What we cover
If a hose fails because of how it was made rather than how it was used, we will replace it. In practice that means:
- A visible split, blister, or separation in a hose that has not been cut or clamped at a sharp angle.
- A wrong item, or a kit missing a piece it was sold as having.
- An inner diameter that does not match what the product page states.
What we do not cover
Fuel line is a wear item. It is meant to be replaced, and the two things that shorten its life are fuel chemistry and heat — neither of which we control:
- Hardening, cracking or weeping after a season of use. Ethanol-blended fuel attacks rubber over time. This is normal service life, not a defect.
- Lines exposed to continuous heat — routed against a cylinder, a muffler shield or an exhaust run.
- A line that was cut to the wrong length, or clamped so tightly that the wall is crushed.
- Silicone line that has been in contact with fuel. Our silicone hose is for air, vacuum and coolant only; contact with petrol or diesel destroys it, and that is documented on the product page.
- Consequential damage — the cost of a repair, a tow, lost time, or a machine that will not start for an unrelated reason.
How it works in practice
Send us a message with your order number, what happened, and a photo of the failed hose. In most cases that is enough for us to decide, and if we agree it is a manufacturing fault we send a replacement out at our cost.
If the hose has been in service, we will usually want to see where and how it was routed, because nine times out of ten the cause is heat or a sharp bend rather than the hose itself — and telling you that is more useful to you than a free hose that fails again the same way.
If you bought the wrong size
That is not a warranty matter, but it is an easy fix: unused, uncut hose goes back within 30 days under Returns & Refunds, and you re-order the size you actually need. Ask us first and we will confirm the size so the second one is right.
